Talent Show

There will be no talent show due to we are thinking that not enough people will do it and we will need parents to come as well to raise money for the Garden House Hospice. Please leave a comment if you will do the talent show or want it to go ahead.

Whitehill's got talent!

One of the vast array of ideas that have come up in school council is a talent show! We are discussing when and how it will work and we want your ideas. The basic idea is competitors perform in front of judges. Also we want a way to raise money for charity.

Merry Christmas from the school council

Merry Christmas to everyone it's been a great year thank you all for your support! Sadly we are losing Mrs Beresford but are glad to welcome Mrs Burniston to Whitehill School Council.

The Blog

Dominic is going to show School Council how the blog works and how to do a post. The friendship week was a success as the Guardian Angels are now trained. Assembly on guardian angles was very helpful. New bibs are really affective. Friendship assembly and class mix up activity was a success.

A new year

Hello Everybody,

We are sorry for not updating you for some time. So we have set up a rota for the new door. Mrs Randall (Miss Yexley) has thought about a Buddha day called Sangha Day and an assembly will be explaining it all on Wednesday 28th November to explain about friendship. The Year 4 school councillors are talking to the Year 3 classes about school council so they can elect their councillors.

That's it for now.

HBS Meeting

The Hitchin Boys School Council visited Whitehill School Council to discuss transition from Year 6 to Year 7. HBS School Council showed us a photo album of the main places, map and homework diary. We have decided that HBS will visit again to deliver an assembly, during that assembly HBS will show us a film and maybe some other ideas we discussed. Please post a comment below if you have any other suggestions about what will make a better transition.

The Yr3 School Council reps

The Y4 reps have spoken to the Y3 classes. The Y3 classes are choosing their 2 people and their first meeting will be the next School Council meeting after Half Term.

School Council

Child of the Half Term

Child of the Half Term should have been elected at the School Council meeting on Thursday 26th January 2012 however we did not have all of the names from all classes. This is how we do the election. The classes vote in the class to choose 1 person. Then the 1 name goes to School Council for us to choose Child of the Half Term. We should have elected Child of the Half Term by Friday 3rd Febuary 2012.

Homework Club

In School Council we have been talking about Homework Club. We surveyed SW, NY, JP and AB. Most of them in the classes said they wanted it. So School Council have been deciding when it will take place. It will take place on the 2nd Week and 3rd week of the Winter Term. These two are trial sessions. It will be in Mrs Beresford's classroom with Dominic and Tom supporting it!
